Our
inspection of the vessel on september 30th.

Waiting on the crane barge Anna4 for the boss of Hapo to arrive. Nice
weather, nice coffee, no problem.

The Anna is pulled over to the Smit Giant2 barge.

A first party of three is hoisted on the 11th floor balcony in a small
steel cube.

Looking east towards Rotterdam city centre

The second group arrives

Looking north.Schiedam

Looking north west. The old quarantaine compound. Now artists live and
work there. The white construction in the foreground was once used to
draw cables over the ocean floor.

Looking west towards the Eemhaven and in the background the heavy industry
of Pernis and the Maasvlakte.

Inside. One of the top floors. The plastic covered boxes on the left are
the wet cells. Most walls have yet to be erected.

The sun deck. In the foreground on the left the edge of the swimming pool
is visible. The next day the barge is to be lowered for 4 meters to allow
the crane to place some heavy mashines on this deck.

Looking south towards Heijplaat. In the foreground our studio. These buildings
used to be part of the RDM drydock complex in the Heijsehaven.

The wooden deck of the Anna4

Giant air conditioning units on each floor.

Some spaces are lit blue on account of the big round windows being covered
in blue protective foil.

The discotheque

dining room

The lower down the bigger the mess. This is still the passenger area though.
One floor down is crue only, and getting seriously maze like.

Near the engine room. Several storage tanks. Its dangerous to walk aroud,
only loose boards over scaffolding.

One of the two new engines covered in plastic on the right. I noticed
that the engine foundations aren't even welded through yet.

Making an inventory of whats there. A mashine besides the engines turns
out to be a 'crude oil pre-heater'
